1. For What
It’s Worth
Well,
yesterday was 4/20 or better known as 420 Day, so did you, my hippie peeps? If
you don’t know what that is, then you most likely don’t need to know. J If you did celebrate
that day appropriately, then good for you! J
Well, the
Formula One Race Season has been quite surprising so far. With all the
regulation changes, it has the former 4 time World Champion Sebastian Vettel
and Team Infinity Red Bull lost for answers. It seems that Mercedes has the
right chassis and engine set up dominating the races winning all 4 F-1 races so
far. My team, Scuderia Ferrari, finally got on the podium with Fernando Alonso
finishing third yesterday. He is so consistent and unrelenting, that is why he
is my favorite driver and he is on my favorite team. The Aussie driver Daniel Riccardo is looking
good for Team Infinity Red Bull always seeming to be right there in the fight.
Now we have a three-week break until the next race in Spain, Alonso’s home
country. It would be great if he could win that race, which I don’t think he
ever has done before.
The hockey
playoffs have been quite a disappointment so far. The Blackhawks have been up
3-2 in both games against St Louis going into the third period, and seem to
give it all away in the final period with some very sloppy play, and some
questionable calls and non-calls from the officials. Coach Q visually let the refs know what he
thought after the first game, Thursday night, costing him a healthy fine. Oh
well, we are at home tonight for Game 3 and playing without our key defenseman
Seabrook, it will be a tough game to win but we can do it. Time to lace up
those skates and hit the ice fiercely!
Let’s go Blackhawks!
Although the
official baseball season has been in full force for several weeks, I have yet
sat down to watch a full Cubs game this year.
Heck, last year I did not sit and watch one full Cubs game all year,
that’s how depressing and how distraught I was with their team or lack there of
ending the season 31 games out with a final record of 66 Wins and 96 losses. The
only consolation is that our cross-town rivals, the White Sox, sucked even
worse with a final record of 63 wins and 99 losses. This year with a record of
5 wins and 12 loses already, it looks like pretty much a repeat of another disappointing
baseball season for us Die Hard Cub Fans. Oh, if Harry Carey could see us now,
he would be crying for more beer to drown his sorrows. I can’t say that I would
blame him… It is becoming comical at best.
It is so painful to see such pitiful and dismal play from our team. The future isn’t looking that bright either. L It’s gotta happen
someday, right?
