The VW Bus
The VW Bus culture is a special breed of people. They are not really fast, they are not sports
cars that handle really well, they are just special in their own way. Some of these people are really unique in
their own special way. Some are just
regular folks. You can tell these
special folks by when they are checking out your VW in a parking lot, gas
station or just at a traffic signal.
Typical question asked is… what year is your VW? I have a sticker posted on the window that
says 1978 VW, but they still ask me the obvious question anyway, which is
fine. You tend to get asked a lot of
questions when you drive an older VW vehicle.
Last year Snoopy and I wrote our blog almost every day with
Linus parked down at the beach. We would
be down there for a couple of hours enjoying the beach and just hanging out
down there while we wrote our blog. Many
people would give us compliments on Linus all of the time. Some even would make a comment about Snoopy,
which she enjoyed immensely, as many of you may know. Some would stop and pet her for a moment
making her day quite special. That is
why the blog is all about Linus and Snoopy.
I am the caretaker of these two individuals even though Snoopy likes to
refer to me as “Her Butler”, which is actually more accurate. Linus and Snoopy… they are my life and who I’ll
be spending so much quality time with them during our long and winding road
trip.
