Hey there, our Peeps…
Michael has been out of the office for a couple of days with
back pain, so there was no blog postings for the last couple of days since I
had left my laptop locked up in my office.
Sorry for anyone that was disappointed.
The Blackhawks finished off the Minnesota Wild in a
lackluster series that did not look promising, if you ask me. We will need to step up our game if we are
going to beat the winners of tomorrow night’s Game 7 between the Kings and
Ducks. Both of these teams look hungry and we need to start to play like the
champions that we are if we want to repeat. Thanks goodness we have Corey
Crawford that really has been saving our sorry asses lately. Kane and Toews
both need to break out their offensive skills to help propel us to victory in
this next series. We can’t rely just on CC to get us through, we need to
offensively explode as we know we can.

Back pain
Living with chronic back pain can get depressing at times.
Living with the day-to-day pain is one thing, but when it flares up and really
hurts bad is another thing. I take flexeril which are muscle-relaxers and I
have Vicodin and morphine for the pain, which I try not to take if at all
possible.
The Only Thing Worse…
The only thing worse is migraine headaches, which I also get
every once in a while, which really makes a bad day or two. All you can do to
relieve it is to sleep the day away and hope it is gone when you wake up.
Crock Pot Recipes Desired
I recently acquired a Crock-pot for our road trip and
backroads travel adventure and I am looking for some easy recipes to use. The
unit came with some but I’m looking for any I can get for our usage. So, if any

Dutch oven
We also have a cast iron Dutch oven we never used before, so
we need to do some practice before we hit the road early next year. It is probably overkill having both but the
Crock-pot can be cooking while we are doing something else. One requires power
and one can be used over the campfire or just using coals. I guess I need to
start using them both to learn the capabilities of both. We are receptive to
any recipes we can get from you guys, our peeps! J
Heat wave
Here in So Cal we have been having a heat wave this week.
Yesterday it got to triple digits on the Fahrenheit temperature scale and I
have realized it is a bad time not to have a/c in the little apartment I am
currently renting. Snoopy has been looking at me like, “WTF is this heat all
about?” When she get really hot she tends to lie on her side and she pants or
tries to nap as much as possible, saving her energy for something more
worthwhile, like eyeballing squirrels or birds as prey.
Things that really piss me off
Often
When peeps pronounce the “T” in the word “often”. The T is silent, you idiots! Look it up in the dictionary or even in a
Thesaurus, if you even know what that is.
